Commercial floor systems
Which one belongs on your floor comes down to traffic, traction and how it gets cleaned. We walk the space before we specify it.
Real TechShield installs. Colors and flake blends vary by job; we bring samples to your quote.
A commercial floor fails for different reasons
On a residential garage, the risk is cosmetic. On a working floor, a failure costs you production, and the recoat costs you production again. The two things that cause it are the two things most bidders skip: real surface preparation and moisture testing.
TechShield was founded by an industrial coatings professional with over 12 years on LNG, offshore and petrochemical projects, working to SSPC and NACE standards and holding AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector credentials. That is the standard your building gets, whether it is a 2,000 sq ft shop or a phased warehouse.
What we coat
- Warehouse and distribution floors rated for forklift and pallet-jack traffic
- Auto, fabrication and equipment shops that see oil, solvents and dropped tools
- Locker rooms, utility and storage areas with textured, slip-resistant builds
- Retail, showroom and office floors where appearance carries weight
- Breakrooms, corridors and restrooms finished to match the main space
- Loading docks, aprons and exterior slabs in UV-stable polyaspartic
How we protect your schedule
- Site walk and moisture testing. We measure, check the slab and identify every repair before pricing.
- Written scope and sequence. You get the system, the phasing and the return-to-service times in writing.
- Phased installation. We work section by section, after hours or on weekends, so you keep operating.
- Documented prep and QC. Shot blasting or diamond grinding to a measured profile, with repairs and conditions recorded as the work goes in.
- Walkthrough and warranty. Certificate and care guide at handover.
Systems we specify
Polyaspartic flake where you need the fastest return to service, quartz where traction and wash-down matter, and solid color where a clean uniform surface is the goal.

Common questions
How much downtime will my floor take?
That is the first thing we scope, not the last. A single bay or room is usually back in service the next day on a polyaspartic build. Larger areas are phased so you keep operating, and we work nights and weekends when the schedule needs it. You get the sequence in writing before we mobilize.
Do you test for moisture before coating?
Yes, on every commercial slab. Moisture coming up through concrete is the most common cause of a failed floor, and on a slab-on-grade building it is not optional to check. If the slab needs a vapor barrier, we tell you before you sign, not after the coating lifts.
Can you work to our spec or submittal requirements?
Yes. Our founder is an AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector with over 12 years in industrial coatings, including LNG, offshore and petrochemical work, so surface-prep standards, profile requirements and submittal paperwork are routine here rather than an exception.
Can you coat a commercial kitchen?
Not a hot wash-down kitchen, and we would rather tell you that now than sell you the wrong floor. A kitchen cleaned with hot water or steam needs a urethane cement system, which we do not install yet. Epoxy and polyaspartic expand and contract at a different rate than the slab under that kind of thermal cycling, and they let go. We do coat the dry and ambient-temperature areas of a food-service building: dry storage, prep and service areas, bars, dining rooms and back-of-house corridors. Tell us how the floor gets cleaned and we will tell you straight whether it is ours to do.
Do you handle multi-location or recurring work?
Yes. Call us to talk through scope, scheduling and how we would sequence multiple sites.
